Why does it display Disconnected across the screen when I’m attempting to Update data? 

This is caused by the Antivirus terminating the ads-server.exe process. In order to address this issue:

Important: Prior to following the steps below, it is recommended to delete the download folder usually located in here:  e.g. C drive: ProgramData/ads/download.

  1. Open the Antivirus management
  2. Go to the approved program list
  3. Go to the Scan exclusion list
  4. Add the ADS path so it can be excluded for the antivirus
  5. Apply the updates on the Antivirus to make sure the new configuration has been applied
  6. Reboot the PC.

Notes:

  • Steps based on TrendMicro Antivirus – These steps may vary depending on the antivirus installed on the machine.
  • In the event this issue happens after a clean installation, it is recommended to update the anti-virus, remove the download folder and reboot the PC.
